In this class, you'll move through five immersive projects, Blue Horizon, Daybreak, Moonlit Meander, Passing Time, and Morning Walk, each one gently building your confidence with abstraction, layering, and expressive mark-making. By the end, something shifts. You stop forcing the landscape and start feeling it.

Feathers and Wax

I’m happy to share my newest mixed media class with you, Feathers & Wax.

This class is an invitation to slow down and work with some of nature’s most poetic forms. We begin with quiet feather studies, move into expressive charcoal and ink bird drawings, and then explore the luminous, dreamy world of encaustic wax. Feathers, vintage papers, soft marks, and layered wax come together to create artwork that feels both grounded and a little bit magical. 

Feathers & Wax focuses on capturing essence rather than perfection. It’s playful, tactile, and deeply satisfying. Ideal if you love mixed media, nature-inspired imagery, or want to explore encaustic in a gentle, approachable way. The finished pieces are just as meaningful to create as they are to keep or gift.
