What You’ll Learn in Class…
Warmup lesson
WARM UP – Creating 3 different faces
In our warm-up lesson, we’ll bring three unique faces to life by experimenting with different face shapes, hairstyles, and clothing. Using loose, sketchy lines, we’ll embrace spontaneity, adding a playful, expressive quality to each character. Let’s explore how small changes can make a big impact!
MAIN LESSON
Quirky girls with Ears
In our main lesson, we’ll bring our quirky characters to life, building on the techniques from our warm-ups. To add a whimsical twist, we’ll incorporate animal ears—whether it’s the playful charm of a hare or the graceful presence of a deer. These unique details deepen the story within our artwork, sparking curiosity and imagination. Bold splashes of color across the face, nose, and background will infuse our piece with vibrancy and personality, making our creations truly one-of-a-kind!
BONUS LESSON
Adding instant charm
In this bonus mini-lesson, Toni will show you a quick and effortless way to add instant emotion and depth to your portraits. By splashing water onto water-soluble ink, we’ll create beautiful, spontaneous effects that bring your artwork to life. This loose, playful technique encourages confidence and creativity, helping you embrace experimentation and movement in your face drawings!
