I have been truly captivated and deeply moved by the tender connection and love that has found it's way onto my canvases and sculptures the past few years. Unique creations, imaginative stories and expressive portraits - themes I can’t seem to get enough of! Now I'm excited to share my creative discoveries with you!

From the tenderhearted Mother Daughter Love and Sister Love themed pieces to the emotional portraits or the exploration of clay... it is the emotion and tenderness I’m excited to share with you.

I hope you will join me me on this journey as we create and find our tender pieces together, through the imagery and stories buried within us and help them find their way onto our canvases.

Much love,  Jeanne-Marie

the daughter never ever gives up on the mother, just as the mother never gives up on the daughter. There is a tie here so strong that nothing can break it. I called it “the unbreakable bond”.

Who Is This Class For?

After painting this theme for a few years, I realized it was the togetherness that I was drawn to and the tenderness they shared that was holding me captive. I knew I wanted to share this with you. To focus how I found tender togetherness and how to capture closeness on my canvas by adding multiple faces, gestures and emotions in one piece that created stories of closeness, tenderness and togetherness.

I want to focus on finding the love, emotion and tenderness in each piece.

Here's a description of our special lessons:

Lesson 1 :  Mother Daughter Love

tender-togetherness-md-image-12.jpg

I don't think I will ever stop painting this theme.  It is so dear to my heart, being a Mom to two girls who hold my whole heart, it comes up for me often.  I can't remember when exactly I started painting MotherDaughterLove pieces but it's been a love thing ever since.

Looking at painting this connection. Learning from the Madonna, the ultimate MotherLove story to our own MotherLove stories. This is something very dear to my heart and I can't stop painting it.

Lesson 2 : Mother love

Now that we have been moved by the ultimate MotherLove story with the Madonna - let’s find our own MotherLove story.

I am always looking for ways to capture MotherLove togetherness and closeness and different ways of telling tender stories.

Lesson 3 : sister love

I do believe there is a longing in all of us to have beautiful connection with our sisters, whether we have a blood related sister or not. I think there is a longing in all of us for it. I am always looking at ways to capture this story.

Lesson 4 : friendship love

As I'm getting older, this is something I am loving and appreciating so much in my own life. The power of soul sister connections. It's a beautiful thing and I want to paint it.

Lesson 5 : paperclay love

I love exploring clay and creating something from scratch.  I find it equally emotive and beautiful. Through the use of gestures, tilted heads and placements of hands, tender emotions can be found in your clay figurines. Even with simple faces and elements so many emotions can be reached.

In this lesson, we’ll explore:

  • Introduction and understanding your clay

  • Finding emotion in individual figure / gestures

  • Finding the emotion with multiple figures / gestures

  • Painting our clay sculptures in a way that completes their stories.

Bonus Lesson : Lomography Love - Instant photography

I know when I make the decision to step out of the door with the intention of capturing Beautiful,  I never come home disappointed.  It is in the silent moments of being slow enough to seek and find what's in your lens.

It's when you find beautiful surprises that you would have otherwise missed. There is a beautiful story telling element to this concept and I know it's something you’ll want to capture.

How truly remarkable to leave this Story of Life.

In this lesson, we’ll explore:

  • Finding tender emotion in your lens.

  • Finding ways to capture daily tenderness.

  • Keepsakes

Playing with our instant cameras / cell phones, with instant printers

Projects - to take our cameras with us wherever we go and capture moments in time - finding beautiful ways to see, feel and love your life, one capture at a time
