Step into the soulful art of ecoprinting with Nature’s Mark…
Join the talented Monica Stadalski on a creative journey inspired by the quiet beauty of the natural world. In this rich, hands-on class, you’ll learn how to transform leaves, flowers, and found botanical treasures into stunning, one-of-a-kind prints on paper.
We’ll begin with the essentials: gathering materials, preparing your papers, and making your very first botanical prints. From there, you’ll explore meaningful ways to use your printed papers—crafting gift tags and bookmarks, framing your favorite pieces, hand-binding your own nature journal, and diving into expressive collage and mixed media techniques.
Whether you’re a nature lover, a journal keeper, or simply craving a slower, more grounded art practice, this class invites you to connect deeply—with your creativity, your surroundings, and yourself.

What You’ll Learn in Class…
Lesson 1: Gather & Paper Making
We’ll begin by stepping outside and gathering plant materials for our prints—an invitation to slow down and notice the beauty all around you. Stick to familiar, safe plants like dandelions, tree leaves, Queen Anne’s lace, and grasses, and always harvest mindfully—take only what you need and leave the rest for the earth. (It never hurts to offer a quiet thank you to the plant, too.)
Once your gathering is complete, we’ll dive into the paper-making process—where the real magic begins. Prepare to be amazed by what nature leaves behind.
Lesson 2: Journal Making & Collage Play
In this lesson, we’ll create a simple hand-bound journal using our ecoprinted papers—a beautiful, portable space for sketching, doodling, or exploring new ideas on the go. Monica will guide you step by step through the bookmaking process, then open up my own journal to share how she brings these pages to life in her creative practice.
We’ll also dive into playful collage exercises, using our ecoprints as soulful elements in abstract compositions. It’s all about experimentation, layering, and letting intuition lead the way. Let your journal become a living, evolving expression of your connection to the natural world.
Lesson 3: Simple Creations
In this lesson, Monica shares how to transform your ecoprinted papers into delightful keepsakes—think handmade gift tags, beautiful bookmarks, and frame-worthy artwork that celebrates nature’s quiet beauty. These bite-sized projects are perfect for using leftover prints, crafting heartfelt gifts, or adding a daily dose of creativity to your life.
Relaxed, playful, and full of charm—this is creativity made simple, meaningful, and fun.
