A mixed media class exploring divine feminine energy, intuition and creativity.
Powerful, nurturing, compassionate, creative, mysterious, wild and intuitive. These are just a few of the words I would use to describe the Divine Feminine. She lives in all of us, regardless of gender. We all encompass both masculine and feminine energy, but in this class we’ll be focusing on the feminine aspects and how tapping into our own inner goddess can strengthen our intuition and creativity.
If you’re like me, celebrating this type of energy in my artwork fills my heart! As we move through these lessons together, we’ll use our intuition to select a beautiful oracle card from the Kuan Yin Oracle by Alana Fairchild, which will inspire our mixed media art journal spread. I’ll also show you how to create your own oracle card/affirmation card symbolizing the divine feminine and finally, we’ll bring the divine feminine energy to life in a fun, mixed media portrait.
I will provide you with all of the resources you need to create your own beautiful artwork in this class, including links to find your own references if you choose. We’ll be using a variety of supplies which I’ll also go over in a separate video. I’m so happy that you’re here on this journey with me, let’s get started!

What we will learn together…
Warmup Lesson : INKY INTUITION
As we move through this class we’ll be exploring different aspects of our own intuition, which is one of the characteristics of divine feminine energy. We’ve all taken notice of it at sometime in our life, whether we were in a situation that didn’t “feel” right or somehow instinctively knew something. That’s our intuition talking to us, and the more you listen and trust the louder it gets.
In this warm-up lesson we’ll be exploring color and how it makes us feel. There is a “knowing” that happens on a cellular level when you see something that resonates with your whole being and that’s what I want us to explore here together. I’ll be showing you how to take notice and pay attention to these moments of excitement and record them so you’ll always be able to reference them for future creations. We’ll also move into experimenting with the colors we’ve chosen by creating random, inky shapes and once dry we’ll use our intuition and creativity to further enhance our ink splashes.
Lesson 1 : DYNASTY OF THE DIVINE MOTHER ART JOURNAL SPREAD
In this first lesson we’ll be diving into our art journals to create a depiction of the divine feminine energy using oracle cards. The deck that I’ve selected for us to work with will be the Kuan Yin Oracle deck by Alana Fairchild. Kuan Yin is considered the goddess of compassion and it’s said that inviting her energy into our lives can be very healing.
As we move through the lesson I’ll be showing you how I connect with the card and draw inspiration from it to use in the journal spread. We’ll be working with many supplies including collage paper, watercolor, ink and acrylics.
Lesson 2 : CREATE AN INSPIRED ALTER CARD
For this lesson, we’ll begin by choosing a quote or affirmation that not only resonates with us, but is also a reflection of our own divine feminine energy. I’ll teach you how to create your own illustrated card that you can display on your altar for daily inspiration. We’ll be using our watercolor, ink and some pens for this lesson.
Lesson 3 : MIXED MEDIA PORTRAIT
Inspired by everything we’ve learned through the course, we’ll be splashing inks onto our page and working intuitively to create our version of the divine feminine energy that lives within us. We’ll be using acrylic paint, ink, and of course some gold to add symbols and extra details to our artwork. This is a fun, loose portrait that only requires a sense of play.
Bonus lesson : LUNAR CYCLE ILLUSTRATION
In this lesson, I’ll show you how to create a watercolor illustration of the lunar cycle. We’ll also add in a quote to finish the piece. You’ll be able to display this on your altar or hang it in your creative space to keep you inspired.
