Among The Flowers
Hello, wonderful creative!
I had such a wonderful time creating this portrait inside Studioworks.
The inspiration image really aligned with me and I hope you resonate with it too. The idea of leaning into the blossoming beauty of our creativity captivated me.
Working first in black and white with charcoal was also such a great study in value and of course constructing a face and observing the light and dark is always a joy and such good practice! The soft addition of acrylic glazes of color was the finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy this lesson and I can’t wait to see your “Among the Flowers” Portrait. Of course, as always, feel free to interpret this project as you see fit. Do not feel like you have to do exactly what I did or even use the same photo reference OR do this project just as I did. Both are wonderful learning moments!
Let your own creativity shine!
