Twice the creativity!
Abstract Landscape + Studioworks Creative Journal
Only $47.00 $57.00
Are you ready to trust your creative intuition and explore abstract art?
Join Ivy Newport inside our latest class and Studioworks Journal pairing! In this lesson and journal conjunction, we will explore abstract landscape painting and the vital need to trust ourselves with our creative journey. In Abstract Landscape, as we step beyond the sketchbook and work on a larger piece inspired by abstract expressionism. First, we learn about the original abstract expressionism movement, drawing wisdom and inspiration from two renowned historical figures, Joan Mitchell and Helen Frankenthaler!
Then we get connected to our inner muse and draw inspiration from internal landscapes and memories. We’ll focus on expressing feelings through colors, shapes, and movement rather than literal depictions. This process encourages spontaneity, creativity, and self-trust as we explore the abstract techniques of layering, mark-making, and color play.
By embracing intuitive painting and releasing the need for control, we’ll learn how to express personal experiences and landscapes in a vibrant, abstract way.
Ivy invites you to let go, trust your instincts, and create from a place of authenticity, discovering how abstract art can convey powerful emotions through color and form.
