We decided to have a dose of culture today and headed out to the Portland Art Museum. Grace has never been and sadly, we've only been once since we lived here (shameful...I know).

Grace loved looking at all the paintings. Anything with a horse in the composition was an instant favorite of hers. She also enjoyed the sculptures. Every time she saw one, she would loudly exclaim, "Look at that beautiful sculpture!"

Anyway, we had wonderful time and I was thoroughly inspired by the amazing turn of the century photographer, Edward Steichen. Check out his amazing work...

Moody, vintage, romantic and so feminine...I'm in love.

So don't be like me...go and visit your local art museums and galleries...often.

I promise I'm going to spend more time supporting the arts here in Pdx.
