Hello lovelies,

Welcome to Day 4 of our 12 Days of Creativity! Today, we invite you to unwind and be fully present with a soothing abstract landscape study with one of our amazing teacher, Renee Mueller! This lesson is more than just an artistic endeavor; it's a serene journey into the heart of creativity. As you blend colors and shapes, let each stroke be a meditative practice, bringing you into a state of relaxation and mindfulness. No prior experience is needed, just an open heart and a willingness to let go.

Supply LIst

• Watercolor paper or Mixed Media Paper - I’m using Arches Hot Press 140lb cut to 12 x 16

• Wood panel, or cradleboard (6 x 8) This step is optional

• Artist Tape

• Foam core or drawing board to tape down your paper

• Clear Gesso

• Gesso

• Matte Medium or Yes Paste

• Assorted brushes

• Acrylic paint - limited palette. I’m using blues and greens with an accent of Burnt Sienna

• Pastels to work within your palette

• Colored Pencils to work within your palette

• Mechanical Pencils

• Mark Making tools

• Palette Knife

• Tracing paper or wax paper

• Brayer

• Final Fixative

• Cutting Matte and cutter

LET’S BEGIN THE LESSON…

Gathering inspiration, art supplies, and developing your color palette is all part of an important part of the creative process. It opens up your heart and your ideas begin to flow. It is one of my favorite parts of creating.
